Students are housed at Do-No-Kai Martial Arts Temple's retreats house.

Friday, First Day of Retreat

10:00 Warm up exercises and conditioning
10:30 Begin Jo Kata
11:30 Martial applications of Kata
Noon Lunch
1:00 Review Jo Kata
2:00 Power training
2:30 Begin self-defense techniques using Jo
3:00 Sightseeing break: You'll be transported
to Chapala, where you'll have a chance to go
shopping and sample some of the flavor of
Mexico and the local cuisine.

:00 We will transport you back to the dojo,
where we'll begin training for your optional
weapons kata.


Saturday, Second Day of Retreat

10:00 Warm up exercises and conditioning
10:30 Continue Jo Kata
11:30 Martial applications of Kata
Noon Lunch
1:00 Review Jo Kata
2:00 Power training
2:30 Continue self-defense techniques using Jo
3:00 Break and discussion
3:30 Construction of weapons
4:30 Defense against other weapons using Jo
6:00 Dinner
7:30 Continue optional weapon kata


Sunday, Third Day of Retreat

10:00 Warm up exercises and conditioning
10:30 Polish Jo Kata
11:30 Martial applications of Kata
Noon Lunch
1:00 Review optional weapons kata
2:00 Power training
2:30 Sparring weapons against weapons
3:00 Break and discussion
3:30 Selection of and concepts behind kobu-jitsu weapons
4:00 Closing ceremony and promotion
NOTE: DVDs of all kata are available.

At this point, all students will be transported back to the Guadalajara International Airport for departure.
